I recently found a few ideas that might be of interest if you are employer conducting internal job interviews, meaning someone already working at the company is applying for a job. The Harvard Business Review has a great online story you might want to read.

“Keep in mind that internal candidates are likely to be around after the search process is over. It is important to treat them with respect, which includes not leading them on and being honest about their suitability for a job,” said Amy Gallo, with the Harvard Business Review.

I can remember a great moment at my last job when the C.E.O. came into my office to tell me I did not get the job I applied for. I thought this was certainly a great employer. Best practices of treating employees as you would want to be treated is always the right way to conduct business.

Are you an employer that respects your valued worker? Your employees are watching you.
